Erik Marinovich is my Type.

We were introduced to the typographic handiwork of Erik Marinovich via the Inaugural issue of The Atlantic, where he crafted a font made by hand to accompany an article called “How Genius Works”, cleverly tying in the idea that all great thoughts begin with a sketch.

The San Francisco-based letterist and designer was named Letter Cult‘s Person of the Year in 2011 and his list of clients includes The New York Times, New York Magazine, Newsweek, The Atlantic Monthly, Wired, Metropolis magazine, GAP, and Nike.

Below are some of our favorites from our new found love favorite typographer. Head over to erikmarinovich.com for more.
