Event: La Perla Valentine’s Day

Luxury lingerie and decadent chocolates are the recipe for success this Valentine’s Day.

New York: We attended a sexy and delicious event at La Perla’s Madison Avenue flagship store over the weekend in honor of this special day. Yes, Valentine’s Day – lingerie’s favorite holiday. The luxury line presented their new collection, as well as tantalizing V-Day fineries at the party, all against a backdrop of sleek white walls…and chocolate decadence!

La Perla actually flew in a pastry chef from the Baci factory in Italy to make some warm, gooey, hazelnut-filled chocolatey goodness on the spot. The finest lingerie in the world and chocolate? How can you go wrong with that?

In addition to the powder blue underpinnings from the new collection, La Perla displayed some exquisite rarities from their archives. The demure vintage undergarments actually did not seem so far off from the most avant-garde pieces from their current collection courtesy of Jean Paul Gaultier. Antique guipure-encrusted briefs or perforated leather slips, La Perla has always set the standard for craftsmanship, elegance and (our favorite word) trend in intimates.
