Pitti Uomo F/W 13: Street Style

Last week, the Stylesight team touched down in Fortezza da Basso, Florence for the 83rd edition of Pitti Uomo. While our editors poured through the F/W 13 designer previews, our correspondents  took the opportunity to capture some of the most charming street style of the sharpest dressed males.

As expected this season, gents showed up in a beautiful array of sartorially-inclined ensembles. Traditional suiting in subdued and autumnal colors were styled against slim jeans, creating a juxtaposition of a dressed up/dressed down look. The bolder looks combined a mix of pattern, color, and texture with tailored jackets and formal outerwear options layered over crisp shirts and sharp waistcoats. Denim shades ranged from dark and raw to two-year-aged to boro-style patch and repair detailing.

As well as the dandies, rugged men were also seen in abundance at last week’s shows. The railroad look continues to inspire Men’s denim styling with indigo on indigo combinations, adding a cleaned-up attitude in archival workwear. Camo continues to be a huge trend on stands as well as in street style, with cargo and military separates cementing the look. Slim-regular denim was rolled and teamed with durable winter boots and softly tailored jackets for a dapper take on casualwear.

We love the Pitti Uomo street style, and the gents have not disappointed us this season!
