Bleu de Paname @ Les Docks en Seine

Parisian utilitarian brand, Bleu de Paname, partnered with the new fashion and design centre Docks en Seine with a pop-up store to celebrate their three-year anniversary.

Paris’ new retail concept Les Docks, Cite de la mode et du design (City of Fashion and Design) launches with a new installation by French label, Bleu de Paname in the basement of the four-level restored industrial space located along the Seine. Started in 2008, Bleu de Paname specializes in creating denim that embodies the French spirit and heritage by incorporating design elements of workwear uniforms with contemporary designs. The temporary 110m2 installation is divided into three zones: ’Bleu de Travail‘ a French military tent reserved for Bleu de Paname’s private collection of rare vintage clothing, workwear and military uniforms, a second area housing the label’s infamous denim and moleskin workwear assortments, and a final showroom holding the Bleu de Paname limited edition collection exclusive to Les Docks. Additionally, throughout the raw, industrial concrete space you will find original military boxes and artwork from the 60s to convey the true spirit of the brand.

Other designers included within the Les Docks include concept store PGL by Pigalle and Silvera furniture designs, as well as the Musée Galliera, which is currently hosting two exhibitions: the legendary Christobal Balenciaga and the Comme des Garçons’ White Drama. The spaces are running until October 7th, 2012,  so make sure to pencil this in if you are visiting Paris this summer.
