Citizen Hip: Thvm Atelier Curates L.A.

Thvm Atelier in Los Angeles

Brian Kim & Olga Nazarova are the husband and wife team behind Thvm Atelier. What started out as an indie label has flourished into a creative collective hosting their favorite brands in an 100-year-old former paint factory. When they aren’t busy designing at This Very Moment you can find them unwinding at the beach, hosting a dinner party at home or sipping champagne at a neighborhood bar.

La Piedra Beach Malibu California

RELAX:
La Piedra Beach
32628 Pacific Coast Highway
Neighborhood: Malibu
Summer is never fully realized until we can spend a whole day doing absolutely nothing at this secluded beach. There’s nothing like wasting away a day after a long week. There’s usually plenty of driftwood to
gather into a small fire while the sun slips away.

Cafe Stella Los Angeles

EAT:
Cafe Stella
3932 West Sunset Boulevard / 1 323 666 0265
Neighborhood: Silverlake
We like to meet up with our friends for Saturday Brunch at this great French café. We also love to stop
by for champagne and mussels at night to wind down from a days work.

Villains Tavern Downtown Los Angeles

DRINK:
Villains Tavern
1356 Palmetto Street / 1 213 613 0766
Neighborhood: Downtown
This is the most non-L.A. bar and it’s conveniently right across from our offices. It’s definitely a neighborhood bar, but located in an industrial area. A great mix of patrons and live old time music makes this a fresh alternative to the usual homogenous Hollywood clubs.

The Cheese Store of Silverlake

SHOP:
The Cheese Store
3926-28 West Sunset Boulevard / 1 323 644 7511
Neighborhood: Silverlake
Right next to Café Stella is a great place to pick up fresh ingredients and imports for a quick easy dinner
party at home. The duck, fennel, and fig sausages are incredible.

Elysian Park Echo Park California

RELAX:
Elysian Park
1880 Academy Drive / 1 213 485 5054
Neighborhood: Echo Park
With the long summer days we like to stop off in the rolling hills of Elysian Park to sip on some champs on our way home from work. One of the great things about L.A. is the geographical diversity. Minutes from downtown, it doesn’t take long to be in the middle of a forest surrounded by lush greenery.
