For Huis Clos, makeup and hair stylist Helder Rodrigues was inspired by the “feminine universe.”

The Look: Feminine Strength
Makeup & Hair: Helder Rodrigues
Nails: Risque

“The inspiration was the feminine universe. Specifically, I was inspired by women. I wanted to escape from obvious makeup (made up lashes and eyebrows) which is why I opted to not use mascara and bleach the eyebrows so we can have this strength on the eyes. Eyes were emphasized with brown shadow and a beige eyeliner on the inside. No mascara. We’re applying gloss to the eyeshadow right before the girls walk out so that it shines more on the runway. The skin was just moisturized and corrected.” – Rodrigues

Brows were bleached with hydrogen peroxide. After the show, brows were dyed back to their original color with a L’Oreal hair dye.

Products (all MAC): Studio Moisture Fix, Prep + Prime Transparent Finishing Powder, Symmetry Eyeshadow, Concrete Eyeshadow, Brown Coquette Eyeshadow, Espresso Eyeshadow, NW25 Chromographic Pencil, Cream Brilliant, Myth Lipstick

“Hair is brushed really straight. The part isn’t in the middle or on the side, it’s between the middle and the side. All the hair is pulled into a clean, low ponytail with no product.” – Rodrigues

For nails, Rodrigues chose a nude color becuase he didn’t want it to interfere with the clothes. “I hate color nail polish,” he stated emphatically.
