Amsterdam: Denham Opens First Women’s Standalone

Denham the Jeanmaker has opened the brand’s first standalone women’s boutique at 17 Runstraat in Amsterdam’s canal district.

The Dutch based denim brand run by English denim dude, Jason Denham always seems to feature on our DDD blog… but thats because Jason always seems to be opening a shop!  And last week saw his newest venture as  last Thursday, Amsterdam’s Nine Streets neighborhood was graced with a new stand-alone women’s boutique Denham store.

The shop was created to showcase it’s full collections in both the denim and non-denim areas for women. Stock has been complimented by lifestyle and accessory items from other specialty labels including special design collaborations with both jewelry designer Eva Schreuder and bag design label Bagism as well as a denim repair and alterations service. In usual Denham style, the store is kitted out with the brand’s custom tailor’s sheers logos and fittings and the light and airy space has a more feminine charm than the other Denham stand-alones, with an antique upholstered denim sofa and tongue and groove flooring. They are also keeping true to their artistic interests with a rotating art exhibit in cooperation with Gallery Vassie. Right now its photographic work by the 60’s fashion photographer, Brian Duffy.

I was the first week of June (31/05 to 3/06 2012) of shooping in Amsterdam and the shops of Jason Denham hit me, I had the luck to know him in person at the shop man, a place where you feel the emotions, not just hanging clothes is something more intimate, a creative and different. People who care for you are wonderful and very professional. We recommend that you have this experience, I'm Fashion designer and traveled often and it's hard to be surprised and here
