Attention ladies (and gents who love pink): the gorgeous new four-star Hotel La Belle Juliette in Paris’ Saint-Germain neighborhood was designed especially for you!

Located just minutes away from myriad luxury boutiques, the Jardin du Luxembourg, the Louvre, and the historic intellectual hang out Café de Flore, Hotel La Belle Juliette is an utterly charming place to hang your proverbial hat when visiting the City of Lights.

The whimsically girlish decorating scheme comes courtesy of famed textile and wallpaper designer Anne Gelbard, whose distinctive fabrics are used in haute couture collections.  Her influence can be seen all over the hotel, from the bright pink chairs to the moody purple light that illuminates Hotel La Belle Juliette’s façade.

The hotel’s name honors famed French socialite Jeanne Francoise Julie Adélaide Bernard (known simply as ‘Juliette,’) who held well-regarded salons for over thirty years in the 1800’s.  The beautiful Juliette was the mistress of French writer, politician, diplomat, historian, and founder of French Romanticism François-René de Chateaubriand (who also coined the term ‘Chateaubriand steak’). Hotel La Belle Juliette makes good use of this fascinating material, exploring the torrid relationship between one of France’s original power couples in their third floor rooms. The first floor is dedicated to the close friendship between Juliette and Swiss author Madame de Staël, while the second pays tribute to Juliette’s love of Italy. On the top floor, re-live the magic of Juliette’s salons in a stunning suite fit for a queen (or a 19th century celebrity). Forgot your laptop? No worries, each lavishly appointed room comes equipped with a Mac.

On the ground floor, the pink-chaired Le Talma has quickly become a hot destination for ladies who lunch, brunch or just drink. Open from breakfast through dinner, Le Talma features an Italian-influenced menu as well as a first-rate afternoon tea with delicious homemade pastries.

Juliette led a seriously  pampered lifestyle, so it’s only proper to treat yourself right while staying at the Hotel La Belle Juliette. The spa at this boutique hotel may be diminutive, but with a countercurrent swimming pool and acupuncture/massage treatments inspired by Eastern medicine, you’ll feel as gorgeous as Juliette herself.

It’s very good to see this useful post on dog training.

I have a question though. How do you train an older dog?
